Belleayre Terrain Park Jam Series
Crowds of people were on hand to watch nearly 100 fearless contestants compete in a Night Rail Jam under a full moon rising over Overlook Lodge. The level of talent was undeniably exceptional for the first event of the season. After a 1 ½ hour open jam session, three judges had a hard time cutting the field of freestylers, which included both men and women and participants as young as seven, back to twenty finalists. The judges congregated as the alternative-rock band Ratboy entertained the crowd while the Spacecraft Rabbit handed out stickers and swag and spectacularly crashed a snowboard on the hill in front of the lodge. Twenty finalists then jammed, jibbed and bonked for another session to decide the winners. After another hard deliberation, the judges decided and prizes and awards that were handed out in the Overlook Great Room included new skis and a new snowboard for the first place winners. RadX Sports was on hand filming so watch for the Belleayre Terrain Park Night Rail Jam coming soon to cable TV.
