BELLEAYRE MOUNTAIN PLANS TO OPEN DOORS ON SATURDAY WITH OPEN RAIL JAM
Holiday 4-packs, Fashion Show, and Seasonal Shopping Discounts at Blue Sky Sports

November 9, 2009, Highmount, NY – This winter, Belleayre is making it their mission to keep skiers and snowboarders on the mountain all season long with enticing discounts and fun-filled events, beginning this Saturday, November 14th. Their Annual Tap into Winter Party will kick off the 2009- 2010 season with lots of reasons to attend; beginning at 1:00pm, the Overlook Lounge will be hosting a Bar party with Live DJ, free hors d’eovers, and promotional drink specials. Then at 2:00pm, a Winter Fashion Showcase will feature the season’s outdoor gear on the runway, courtesy of Jimmy’s Belleayre Ski Shop and Blue Sky Sports. All day long, whether the lifts are running or not, the mountain will host an exhibition rail jam from 9:00am- 4:00pm. If the mountain does open officially, lift tickets will be $25; otherwise the rail jam ticket will be $15.

Gearing up for the holiday travelling and shopping season, Belleayre is introducing their first-ever Holiday 4-pack, which will go on sale ($160/ adults, $100/ 17-under, one pack per person) offering visitors a great deal on 4 anytime, holiday lift passes with an additional 20% discount at the Blue Sky Sports retail shop. This is a $54 savings for adults. Present your Holiday lift ticket to Blue Sky sports on the day it was issued and receive an added 20% off of your purchases; this may not be combined with other on-sale items. Be sure to check out www.belleayre.com for holiday dates, when the card is applicable. Blue Sky Sports is also offering an additional sale promotion for holiday shoppers. If you spend over $200 at the retail shop at one time you can present your receipt to guest service desks and receive a free, anytime Belleayre lift ticket. “These great discounts and incentives are perfectly timed for shoppers,” says Superintendent Tony Lanza,”you can spend a day on the slopes and buy gifts between runs and at lunchtime!”

Also, mark your calendars for December 1st, as the newly announced Catskill Region frequent skier card goes on sale, giving people discounts off of lift tickets at Belleayre, Hunter, Windham, Plattekill and Holiday Mountain. The Catskill Association for Tourism Services, in collaboration with the five participating resorts, has launched a new CATS Card offering skiers 20 percent off lift tickets throughout the 2009-10 season. The card will cost $25 and can be used an unlimited number of times at any and all of the five resorts to purchase full-day tickets. The card will be available for purchase online at www.mycatscard.com or by calling (800) NYS-CATS (697-2287). The CATS Card, which will be personalized, must be presented with photo identification at the ski areas to purchase tickets at the discounted rate. The card is not valid on holidays, cannot be combined with other offers and is non-transferable.
