Press Release Contact: MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND EXTRAVAGANZA AT BELLEAYRE MOUNTAIN Belleayre Triple Crown and Belleayre Music Festival Fundraising Auction/BBQ Kick Off Summer Family Fun Highmount, NY, May 14, 2009 – Belleayre Mountain is promising all visitors an event-filled Memorial Day Weekend beginning Saturday, May 23. The First Annual Splash-Into-Summer Extravaganza will kick off the season at the Belleayre Beach with a Kayak Regatta at 10am. Guests are allowed to launch their own hard-bottom kayaks to enter the race and a limited supply of boats will be available to participants. After the kayak race, children's crafts and games will highlight the opening day of the waterfront and swimming will be available all weekend. A Mountain Bike Drag race sponsored by Catskill Outback Adventures will then follow beginning at the Overlook Lodge at 12pm. Bikers will race in a head to head hill climb challenge to see who is the real “Beast of Belleayre”. Beginning at 3pm the first ever Memorial Day Rail Jam will conclude the Belleayre Triple Crown Event. Guests are welcome to enter each individual event and encouraged to enter all three sporting events to have the chance to win the Triple Crown Grand Prize ~ a family pack of 2009-2010 Season Passes for a family of four. Prizes will also be awarded for each individual event such as a $200 Cash Prize sponsored by Ulster Savings Bank to the winner of the Rail Jam, a Monster snowboard, gear from Potter Brothers, gear from Ellsworth Bicycles, gift certificates from Catskill Outback Adventures, gift certificates from Catskill Forest Sports and much more.
